It Was Just an Accident

Despite bans and imprisonment, renowned Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi continues to create deeply humanist cinema. Reimagining the road movie genre, with this film Panahi takes the audience on an emotional journey full of unexpected twists and turns. At midnight, a damaged car pulls into mechanic Vahid’s garage. The sound it makes awakens a painful memory —Vahid becomes convinced that the driver is the officer who once tortured him.
